this is from the album 13 letters (hip-hop summaries of all of paul’s epistles). some tracks are better than others, but this one’s been my favorite from the first time i heard it (and i’ve since come to enjoy many other trip lee offerings). what an amazing gift to gather and re-present so many key, as well as some of the nuanced, elements in this epistle in such a concise fashion and oh yeah, make it rhyme to boot. outstanding work! “read it, live it, learn it like the back of your hand…”

hope it’s ok to post this, but if anyone’s interested to learn more about this genre, you might want to check this interview with trip and lecrae: http://thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/justintaylor/2011/01/06/an-interview-with-lecrae-and-trip-lee/
